Deliver your final messages securely

Executrix is a Swiss-based encrypted service that delivers your personal messages after your passing — securely and privately.

About

We believe everyone should have a secure way to share what truly matters — even after they’re gone. Executrix lets you send encrypted, private messages that ensure nothing meaningful is left unsaid.

In today’s digital world, where our lives are increasingly online, it’s more important than ever to protect final words, memories, and sensitive information. Executrix is built for exactly that:

  • A personal message for your loved ones
  • Meaningful memories or stories you'd like remembered
  • Sensitive information that must stay confidential until the right moment

Your privacy is our priority. All messages are end-to-end encrypted using zero-access encryption — only your chosen recipients can ever read them. We can’t see your data, and no one else can either. Our service is hosted in Switzerland, protected by some of the strongest privacy laws in the world.

Features

Main features of Executrix

Zero-Knowledge Authentication

Your password never leaves your device. Login is powered by the OPAQUE protocol — a cryptographic standard where the server verifies your identity without ever seeing your password. Because your password is your encryption key, we are mathematically incapable of reading your content, even under legal compulsion.

End-to-End Encryption

All messages are encrypted on your device before they reach our servers. We use AES-GCM with keys derived from your password, so only you and your chosen recipients can ever read your content. We have no ability to access or share it.

Multiple Delivery Methods

Messages can be delivered via SMS or email. Recipients receive a link to an encrypted page requiring a passphrase to decrypt. For email recipients with a published GPG key, messages can be stored and sent encrypted with their key directly.

Flexible Release Modes

Check-In Mode releases your messages automatically if you miss a check-in within a chosen timeframe. Executor Mode lets you designate trusted individuals to initiate the release — you’ll receive a final notification and can cancel before anything is sent. For additional automation, connect Google’s Inactive Account Manager to trigger the executor flow when your account goes dormant, or use our Webhook integration to trigger a release from any external system or service.

Open Source Client Coming Soon

Our client-side code will be fully open for public inspection. Independent audit by the global security community provides a stronger guarantee than any policy alone.

Biometric Check-Ins Coming Soon

Confirm your well-being with a biometric check-in on your mobile device, replacing manual logins with a quick and seamless step.

Social Integrations Coming Soon

Automatically publish a final post to platforms like X when your messages are released.

Frequently Asked Questions

How secure is Executrix?

Our service employs the latest cryptographic standards to ensure your data remains secure. Authentication uses the OPAQUE protocol, meaning your password is never transmitted to or stored by our servers — we prove your identity without ever seeing your secret. Your password is used client-side as the basis for your encryption key, so even we cannot decrypt your data.

All messages are encrypted using AES-GCM. Encryption and decryption happen entirely in your browser or app — our servers only ever store ciphertext. Recipient messages are also encrypted client-side, with options for custom passphrases or GPG key encryption.

By storing your data exclusively in Switzerland, we also benefit from some of the world's strongest privacy laws, providing additional protection against third-party access requests.

What is the OPAQUE protocol?

OPAQUE is a cryptographic protocol for password-based authentication that ensures your password is never sent to the server — not even in hashed form. Instead, both sides perform a mathematical exchange that proves you know the password without revealing it. This is known as an asymmetric Password-Authenticated Key Exchange (aPAKE).

For Executrix, this has a critical implication: your password is also your encryption key. Because the server never sees your password, it is physically impossible for us — or anyone who breaches our servers — to derive your key and read your messages. Your privacy is guaranteed by mathematics, not just by policy.

What is encrypted by Executrix?

All your messages will be encrypted by default unless you specifically choose to save recipient messages in plain text. This option can be useful for less tech-savvy users or when you prefer to send messages directly via SMS instead of sharing a link to an encrypted web page.

Please note that data such as user contact information and subjects is not protected by zero-knowledge encryption, as we need access to it for the sending process.

While all data is encrypted, any information we can access is encrypted on our servers using encryption keys we control, allowing us to access that data when necessary.

How long is data retained?

Once all your messages have been successfully sent and there’s no further activity on your account, your data will be automatically deleted after 1 year.

If your subscription ends before your messages are released, we’ll hold your data for up to 6 months — giving you time to renew access — after which it will be permanently deleted.

What happens if I forget my password?

Unfortunately, if you forget your password, we are unable to recover your data. Your password is essential for deriving the encryption key, which is processed client-side, and we have no access to it. If we assist in recovering your account, any previous data would need to be deleted, as you can no longer decrypt it.
We recommend securely storing your password in an encrypted password manager for safekeeping.
